Brewery Square is inviting the local community to join in a spectacular weekend of celebrations as the destination marks its 18th birthday on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August 2026.
The celebrations begin on Friday 7th August with The BIG Brewery Square Bake Off, inviting amateur bakers of all ages to showcase their culinary creations at Vivo Lounge, Dorchester, from 11am.
Ready, set… bake!
Whether it’s a treasured family recipe or a brand-new masterpiece, entrants are encouraged to bring along their best bake to be judged by a panel of local judges. The winning creations will be announced before all entries are sold during Saturday’s Big Birthday Bash, with proceeds helping to make the celebrations even sweeter. The festivities continue on Saturday 8th August, with a packed programme of free entertainment, family activities and live performances across Brewery Square.
Families can start the day at Nikki’s Little Play Café’s, where little ones can enjoy soft play, along with food and drinks in celebration of Brewery Square’s milestone birthday. (Booking is essential via https://nikkislittleplaycafe.co.uk/)
During the day, MUTT Everything Dog will host a Everything Dog Celebration, giving four-legged friends the chance to enjoy a doggy soft play session, plus pup cakes and other treats in celebration of the big day. (Booking is essential via https://www.mutteverythingdog.co.uk/)
Meanwhile, Creams Café is joining the celebrations with a special £1.80 offer to mark the milestone. The promotion includes Mr Whippy ice cream (without a Flake), regular slush drinks, bottled drinks, and all hot drinks.
HOBBS and Phase Eight will celebrate in style with nibbles and bubbles throughout the day, as customers shop the latest looks in preparation for the evening’s entertainment, with 20% off all items in store!
HALO Fine Art will also be opening late, showcasing a stunning outdoor art exhibition, featuring works by both talented local artists and nationally acclaimed names.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, visitors can enjoy a fantastic free programme of live entertainment, including:
- 4:00pm – The String Quartet at Santos + Co
- 6:00pm – Wessex Musical Theatre Group
- 6:40pm – Special performance from the cast of the West End Mamma Mia! The Musical
- 7:30pm – The After Party at XO!
Alongside the live entertainment, visitors can enjoy a fantastic selection of activities, exclusive retailer offers and special experiences throughout Brewery Square, creating a fun-filled day for all ages.
Admission to the celebrations is free, with no RSVP required for the main public events. Booking is only required for Nikki’s Little Play Café and MUTT Everything Dog, or any restaurant booking required on the night for the best seats in the house.
