Time to put your folding skills to the test. For this week’s Wow Wednesday, we’re taking over the fountain area for a proper paper plane building workshop and flight competition and yes, we fully expect the adults to take this way too seriously.

If you think you can engineer a plane that clears the square, or you just want to relive your schoolyard glory days, grab a sheet of paper and show us what you’ve got. We’re giving out some cracking prizes across two main categories:

For this week’s Wow Wednesday, we’re hosting a proper paper plane workshop and competition. It’s open to families, but honestly, we really want to see the adults get involved in this one. It’s time to channel your inner engineer, tap into that schoolyard nostalgia, and show us what you’ve got.

We’re not just messing around with scrap paper either, there are some great prizes on the line for three categories:

How the day works:
Drop by anytime from 10am onwards to grab your paper and start perfecting your design. At 1pm, we will start judging the most creative designs. Then at 1:30pm, it’s the big moment, the official launch to see whose plane flies the furthest, followed by the winners announcement.

It’s completely free, a bit of a laugh, and a great excuse to show off your folding skills.
