Nikki’s Little Play Café

Captivating Soft Play

Nikki’s Little Play Café is a consciously created space to ensure stimulation but not overstimulation.
The selection of an engaging but muted calm colours for the soft play, our facilities are fully
accessible, all designed and created with children in mind who may find larger spaces, noises and
interactions with others difficult.

Even with these measures in place to make our space a play haven, occasionally children will
become overwhelmed, this is when you can take advantage of the purpose-built sensory room
featuring mirrors, projectors, ambient sound, a bubble tube and fibre optics.

Parents/guardians and children can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, child friendly snacks and
delicious sweet treats handcrafted by our friend Holly, ex Head of Pastry for Rick Stein! Coffee grounds will be donated to local care homes around Dorset to use as fertiliser, and boxes will
be repurposed and redistributed to local small businesses.

Due to our strict safeguarding procedures, adults must be accompanied by a child/children.

FAQs

Q Do you have to book?

Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.

We run at half capacity (maximum of 20 children playing) to offer a spacious, less overwhelming experience for both children and adults.

We do accept walk-ins but wouldn’t want you to make the journey and be turned away if we are at
capacity.

You can book play sessions and parties through our website.

Q Can I book the Play Café for a party?

Yes, absolutely! We offer party packages that cater for all.

You can book these through our website or contact us directly to discuss a bespoke option.

Q What age ranges do you cater for?

Monday – Saturday is age 7 and under.

Wednesday and Saturday we offer a 4:30pm session for age 8 and under.

All our parties are for age 8 and under. If you have a specific requirement or would like
to discuss a child of any age/ability visiting the play cafe, please contact us directly.

Q Do you sell gift cards/vouchers?

You can purchase gift vouchers through our website or in the play café.

Q What are Nikki’s Little Play Café Act of Kindness tickets?

We want Nikki's Little Play Café to be a place for all children to be welcome and able to visit. By purchasing an Act of Kindness ticket, you're allowing someone who may not be able to afford a day out with their child the opportunity to join us for a play session and to enjoy a hot drink.

Act of Kindness tickets are not for a set day or time, and must not be redeemed by the purchaser. Instead, anyone in need can call or email us to find out if there are any Acts of Kindness tickets available and to book themselves into their preferred time. It is important this is checked to avoid disappointment, as we cannot guarantee an Act of Kindness ticket is available, nor that there will be space for walk-ins.
