Welcome to Memory Lane. We are a small, independent, husband-and-wife-run company.

We buy and sell vintage, Retro and modern items.

We enjoy researching each item we get in so that we can learn more about the history of the items and pass on our knowledge to our customers.

We also find it interesting watching customers relive their younger years and memories, bringing smiles to their faces, making it all worthwhile while doing.

Vinyl Van

We started the Vinyl Van in February 2019, selling vinyl from our VW Campervan at local festivals, events, and markets. We had an amazing summer, followed by a stint at Dorchester’s Cornhill Market.

In a quest to find a pop-up shop to overwinter in, we stumbled upon our current premises in Brewery Square that October and opened the shop in December.

We are passionate about music and feel so lucky to be able to share this with others.

We stock a wide range of new and preloved vinyl – Reggae, Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, African, World, Electronic, Jazz, Blues, Ska, Rock, and Pop. We sell a full range of Pro-Ject Turntables and Klipsch powered speakers, with demos available in-store.

We also stock preloved CDs and books, prints, Record Crates, T-Shirts, Spill The Tea clothing range, and more.

Vinyl Van sells a wide range of new and used records, covering a variety of genres from reggae, hip hop, soul, funk, electronic, jazz, blues, ska, rock and pop. In addition, the store sells a range of music-related products, including turntables, books, prints, record crates, and t-shirts.

Halo Fine Art is a beautiful contemporary fine art gallery featuring a range of signed limited editions, originals and sculpture. Showcasing the UK’s leading artists such as Doug Hyde and Duncan MacGregor, alongside world-class names such as modern masters Fabian Perez and Sherree Valentine Daines, the gallery hosts inspirational events throughout the year.

Art Events

Our portfolio of artists is the strongest it has ever been, and we have a stream of outstanding new work coming into the gallery every month, keeping our walls fresh and exciting all year round. Sometimes, however, we like to host an exhibition from one particular artist whom we are excited about and invite them into the gallery to meet collectors. We have had some incredible events over the years with both big names and rising stars joining us to chat about their inspiration, dedicate artwork, pose for photographs, and on occasion even to paint live in the gallery. Stems Florist is a well-established florist in Dorchester, Dorset, based in vibrant Brewery Square. Having taken over the business in 2018, Emma and her team are passionate about providing beautiful products for every occasion.

Here at Stems, the flowers that we stock are high-quality and always fresh. We utilise growers and suppliers from the U.K. and internationally. This ensures that we are giving you the best there is to offer. Whether you need Wedding flowers, tributes for a funeral, or a beautiful bouquet, we will ensure it’s perfect.

Since the takeover in 2018, Emma and the team have changed many aspects of the shop interior and its stock, so make sure you pay a visit to 15 Weymouth Avenue, Dorchester, to see the amazing changes!

Here at Stems, we aim to turn your scrapbooks, Pinterest boards, and flower dreams into a reality. We strive to make your wedding flowers perfect in every way, right down to the dainty little details. You start your flower journey with us with a free of charge wedding consultation with either Emma or Kate. There, we will see all your ideas and make a plan for how we can achieve this for you. You’ll then get a detailed breakdown of what will be in your wedding party flowers, making sure it fits the style and theme of your wedding

We deliver all over Dorset, so whether you are having an intimate gathering or a vast affair, we will be there to be part of your big day.

Funerals
